For the past few months I've been sitting with a question: what happens when flamenco guitar meets a string quartet?

This October I'm bringing the answer to four stages across Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Strings Attached Sinfonietta quartet. The programme moves between the flamenco masters, Paco de Lucía, Sabicas, Niño Ricardo, Esteban de Sanlúcar, and the Spanish composers who drew from the same well: Falla, Albéniz, Tárrega, Rodrigo. A few of my own pieces will be there too.
 

All arrangements are new, written for this line-up. Twenty-two strings, five people, and music that has been part of my life for more than a decade.
